In the markets, you can look for a new driver, designer, or commerce director for your team. The process of signing any of them is the same with the introduction of full global markets in season 36.

Current offers

Making an offer

You can make offers on a new Commerce Director (CD) when your current one has less than 17 races (one full season) on their contract. It takes a minimum of two markets (decision cycles) for you to finalize the deal. Once the market is open, you make offers on as many people as you want. You then rank them from the most wanted to least desirable and wait until the markets are run.

Each CD will select the three best contract offers and will reject the rest. If your offer is deemed good enough, your offer will stand and you will enter final negotiations with the CD. Up until the next markets run you will be able to improve your offers if you want to.

If a CD rejects your initial offer you can still bid on them again, but if the CD is in final negotiations with another manager(s) they will accept on of those offers unless they get three new offers that are greater than the current best offer.

So before being accepted, any offer has to go through the following process: (1) Initial offer made -> (2) market, offer accepted -> (3) offer may be improved -> (4) deal signed.

Editing your offer

To edit an offer already in the negotiations stage you click on the pencil icon beside the driver’s name in the ‘Your offers’ section. If you use the ‘Make an offer’ form it will submit a NEW offer and you will return to the initial offer phase with the driver. If you decide to lower your offer in any of the possible terms (salary, bonuses, and/or team expectations), while it has already passed stage (2) and is in negotiations stage (3), your offer is automatically reset and is considered to be initial offer (1).
