This page is incomplete.

The Factory & Repair page is where you build, buy, repair and maintain your car to make sure your driver has the best chance possible when he goes out on track. The left hand column deals with storage, and tells you what parts you have available now and what parts you have in production. The middle column allows you to repair and replace parts on your car and gives a summary of the current status of your car. The right hand column is where you can build or buy new parts for you car, parts built youself will be ready after the next race, parts you buy will be available instantly, but are less efficient and weigh more than your own parts.

Spares & Storage

The spares list show the parts you have available, as well as parts which are currently in production. As you use parts their condition drops and the likelyhood of them breaking increases, if a part is beyond repair you can throw it away here.

In your factory, you store both the prototype parts your design team is working with and spare parts you can repair your car with. Initially, your factory is pretty small. Since the parts require a certain amount of space, you may need to make your factory larger to hold everything you want. Buying extra factory capacity is quite expensive, and it becomes more and more expensive the larger your factory is. Image:Factory-expand.png

At the end of the season your factory will depreciate a little bit, so to keep its size at the same level, an additional investment (expansion) would be needed. When the depreciation happens you may see that you have a negative value for space left as the parts take up more room than the factory allows. This is normal after a reset and once the parts are thrown away you will not be able to overfill the factory.

Repair and Car Status

The central column allows you to perform repairs on you car, and selct which parts you want to run with. You repair your car by distributing your repair hours across them; initially you get one repair hour for each mechanic you have on your staff, and the effectiveness of the hours is governed by the skill of your mechanics. If the skill of any of your mechanics reaches 100, you will recieve an extra hour with which to repair your car.

You should aim to enter each race with your car in the best condition possible. As the condition of parts has no effect on the outcome of testing, and you overall pace in practice and warm up isn't important, most would consider it very wasteful to use new parts on these activities. You can save a lot of money over the course of a season by using old parts for these, and only bringing out your best car for qualifying and the race.

You are only able to repair your car before qualifying. Once you have chosen your tyres and starting fuel for the race, your car is in parc ferme and nothing can be changed.

Production and Purchases

When you do want new parts you must ensure there is enough free space in the factory. If there is not enough room you will need to throw away some existing part(s) to make space. To build or buy a part simply select the appropriate box and click the button.

In order to get the highest quality parts, you need to build them yourself, but parts take time to build and you will not get them until after the next race. If you need the immediately, you can buy it. Bought parts are less efficient than the ones you have designed yourself, and weigh slightly more, but they will cost you slighly less.

When building parts you should always double-check that the new parts (marked by a red box Image:Full_red.png ) are in production. If you do not have enough space, or if something happens with your browser, the parts may not be ordered.
Building parts is for C1, C2 and C3 only. In C4 you can buy parts and improve their design.

Negative balance restrictions

If your balance is negative, you cannot build any new parts. If you need new parts, you must buy from the public market. Additionally, you cannot buy new factory space.
