Pre-Season 37 Update
- June 17, 2009
- Designer and Commerce director market is now global. Only 1 season contracts are available.
- Designers have 4 new attributes, "Aero", "Body", "Engine" and "Gearbox". These values represent the designer's effectiveness as a direct percentage of previous gains.
- The new skills effect both design page AND gains from testing aero, engine, gearbox and tyres (which use "body" skill).
- Designer speciality skill is removed.
- Commerce Directors have 4 new attributes, "initial offer", "client relations", "marketing" and "contract offers".
- Initial offer will be less random now and will depend more on CD skill.
- Client relations affects chance of sponsor cancelling negotiations and less penalty for altering initial contract terms.
- Number of advertising spots is reduced by 1, but the CD will add 0-3 depending on the marketing skill.
- You will get 1-3 new contract offers per race depending on the CD's skill in that area.
- It is possible now to "reset" design and marketing orders if you wish to change them.
- Before race 1 of a new season, you will be able to BUY your parts without any time penalty.
- Before race 1 there is a testing track with the highest possible testing ratings, available to everyone.
- If you are racing at one of the available test tracks for the week, it will no longer be unavailable for testing.
- Team creation/joining/renewal fees have been dropped.
- In/out times were increased for most tracks.
- Missing a race will not set you back as much as it used to. You will not gain anything in design or marketing, etc, but while your staff contracts will be reduced by 1, you will not have to pay their salaries or pay for engine, gearbox, tires.
Rule changes and bug fixes
- February 27, 2009
- The 90% rule is now working properly, which means if you fail to complete 90% of the race or more;
- you will not score any points as you will not be classified, and
- you will only receive a percentage of race position bonus equal to the percentage of the race completed.
- Negative balance restrictions have been changed so you can now hire staff (mechanics, engineers, and pit crew), but you cannot renew their contracts.
- A fuel fix has been added that lets you slowly return to your pit and refuel if you run out too soon.
- If your car runs out the car will limp back to the pits and refuel as normal.
- If there is no pit scheduled you will DNF in your pitbox.
- If you have all 5 pit stops set with fuel values your team will add the amount of the fifth stop over and over if you continue to run out of fuel if you run out.
Rule changes and bug fixes
- January 11, 2009
- The 12 hour qualifying rule has now been changed to 6 hours and will have a greater influence on driver errors. If you do qualifying in the last 6 hours before the race the chances of a driver mistake will increase, becoming greater closer to the office closing time.
- The pole skill has been adjusted as well for qualifying, giving it a greater effect on qualifying time.
- A bug causing CDs and designers to not gain back motivation has been fixed. They will now gain back motivation quicker, but will also lose motivation in races with poor results.
- Testing tracks not returning DRPs and lap times has been fixed. The bug affected tracks that were not being raced on.
- Times displayed on the grid in Live Race should now be the proper qualifying times.
- Managers who are retired should now have their mailboxes available.

Driver market bug fixed, market entry date changed
- December 22, 2008
Drivers will now enter the market when they have completed two races in the final season of their contract as opposed to after 5 races as it was previously. The bug that allowed managers whose drivers were signed by another manager on the open market to still renew their driver has been resolved. Managers will not be able to renew their current driver once the driver enters the negotiations with any other manager(s).
Testing tracks automated
- December 22, 2008
The rotation of the testing tracks is now fully automated and the tracks will change every Friday at 18:00 server time. The same track(s) will not appear two weeks in a row.
Global markets for designers and commerce directors for season 36
- November 20, 2008
From start of season 36 (most probably) designer and commerce director markets will be global (every staff member will be available to be signed by all managers), and both designer and c.director will gain some new attributes.
To facilitate this contract offer lengths for current staff will be adjusted to ensure no overlap of old staff with new.
