Every group has a Team Championship with prize money awarded at the end of the season. The amount depends on the class of your group.

Prize money is awarded at the end of the season only and split proportionally based on the number of points earned by each team. Within the team the money is split equally between team members, each receiving half of the team’s prize money.

A team is only allowed to participate in Team Championship if it has two members. No money or Team Championship points will be awarded to managers without a team.

Creating a team

At any point in your career you can establish your own team. This will cost you $5 million, after which your team will remain yours forever. However, each season when you want your team to participate in the Team Championship, you will have to renew its licence at a cost of $500,000 for the season. You may decide some seasons to join another team, which is fine, your own team will take an "off season" and you will be able to renew its licence again next season. Teams will retain their statistics and history, so all that hard work and success will be recorded for future generations. Once a team is created, you can change the name of your team for free at anytime.

Joining a team

If you do decide to join another team, you can make an offer to the team owner which can be up to $2.5 million. After all, a team is expensive to create, renew the licence every season, and in some cases certain teams may even be very prestigious to race for. After an offer is made, the team owner can accept your offer or may decide to wait for better ones from you or other managers. Keep in touch with the owner by private in game messages and you will know whether you have a chance of making the team or not. This is a great way to negotiate the signing cost as well. At the end of the season team money is awarded and for the next season you will have to look for a new (or the same) team to join. You do not have to race in a team if you do not wish to and in some cases it may be cheaper to not race in the Team Championship if you don’t score enough points.

Renewing your team

To renew your team click on the name of the team at the start of the season, or any point after if you have not joined another team already. Renewing will cost you $500,000.
